We're Bettina and Trevor Davies, and this garden is our business and our pleasure!
Both of us spent our early lives working in the performing/creative arts - Bettina as a dancer, choreographer and dance teacher, and Trevor as a musician, actor, writer and composer.
Ten years ago our interest in environmental issues and horticulture took hold of the reins. Bettina spent a year studying horticulture at Capel Manor College in London; we took on a municipal allotment with a view to exploring food self-sufficency; we launched our first business growing and selling cut flowers and offering floristry services to the public.
Our business fuelled our desire to live a simpler land-based life, and after a long search for land, we left everything behind in 2020 and moved to a plot on the Gower Peninsula in South Wales.
