FAQs
Frequently asked questions from The Rowan Tree customers.
We deliver as far East as Reynoldston, as far North as Three Crosses, and as far West as Uplands. So that's an area that takes in Bishopston, Murton, Newton, Langland, Mumbles, Mayals, West Cross, Brynmill, Uplands, Sketty, Ty Coch, Killay and Dunvant. (And all the nooks and crannies between those areas).
As you can imagine, we are trying to be sustainable and also make the most of our valued daylight time, so we do try to arrange our deliveries in a very conscious manner.
We're very busy growing flowers and developing our 6 acre smallholding and are therefore having to restrict deliveries to the areas shown on the map. Customers from outside these areas are welcome to collect flowers from us by appointment.
Yes! The flowers for our bouquets are cut the day before delivery, and wedding flowers a maximum of two days before delivery, so they're really as fresh as can be.
To make bouquets last as long as possible, simply follow these easy tips:
- Keep the flowers away from direct sunlight and other heat sources. The cooler their environment, the longer they'll last.
- Change the water in the vase every day.
- Keep them away from ripening fruit. The ethylene involved in the ripening process may make the flowers go over prematurely.
- Flower food is unnecessary! If treated as above, our flowers will last a minimum of five days, most of the time they'll last much longer than that.
Our flowers are seasonal, that means they flower when it's their natural time to bloom in our climate.
We grow a huge variety of beautiful flowers throughout the season, so there will always be lots to choose from. We can almost always accommodate colour preferences - however, if you're prepared to be surprised that's when you'll experience our flowers at their best!
We're only open to the public on our Pick Your Own days. Please check our website and Instagram for upcoming dates.
