Pick Your Own

Our PYO started by accident...

In our second season here we had grown a wide selection of bright colours, only to find that wedding trends had changed overnight and all our wholesale customers wanted was white and pale pink…!

We quickly advertised that we’d be open for PYO on a number of dates over the summer and it’s been a big success ever since. Customers are welcome to stroll amongst the flower beds and pick a bucket full of whichever blooms they like best. Children are very welcome – our plot is a haven for insects and birds, and we have free roaming chickens and a cat, so there’s always plenty to see!

Cost

£25 per bucket (for up to 30 stems)

How Pick Your Own works

  • Step 1. Look out for PYO dates on our website, Instagram. and Newsletter.
    We open for a limited number of dates between May - September.
  • Step 2. Book a 2hr time slot via text (07904 904166)
    Please tell us as soon as possible if you can't make your slot, so we can offer your place to someone else.
  • Step 3. We confirm and send you full details of how to get to us.
    As a One Planet Development we're committed to limiting traffic to our smallholding. Please consider car sharing and travelling by public transport. 118 and 119 bus routes stop close by. We're happy to help you plan your visit by public transport!
  • Step 4. When you arrive, we give you flower snips and one of our PYO buckets with water. We strongly recommend bringing your own container to transport the flowers home in - you don't want your lovely bunch to wilt on the way home!
  • Step 5. Make your payment. Pay for your bucket by cash (alternatively we can accept BACS transfer).

Anything else I need to know?

  • PYO goes ahead in all weather! Customers are welcome to shelter in our polytunnel and shed during downpours. In case of seriously stormy weather we’ll get in touch with you to cancel.
  • Please wear sturdy shoes or boots as the ground is uneven in places.
  • We regret that dogs are not allowed on site.
